Data Deletion
Your Data, Your Call
Last updated: July 22, 2026
Overview
This page explains what happens when you ask Easycollab (“Easycollab.cc,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) to delete your account or the data we hold about you, how to make a deletion request, how long it takes, and the narrow set of cases where we retain a subset of data after deletion. It supplements — and should be read alongside — our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the rights described here are exercised under the GDPR; if you reside in a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Oregon, Montana, Texas, and others), those rights still apply on top of state-specific protections. Indian residents may exercise rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. What “Deletion” Covers
When you submit a verified deletion request, we will, within the timelines described in Section 5, permanently delete or irreversibly anonymize the following categories of data tied to your account:
Account profile data — name, email, password hash, billing address, organization, profile photo, account settings, and authentication tokens.
Inputs — any videos, audio, scripts, transcripts, images, links, text prompts, or other content you have submitted to the Services.
Outputs — retention forecasts, Attention Blueprints, cognitive-load curves, archetype extractions, EDL/XML exports, and any other artifacts our Human Attention Models (“HAMs”) produced for you.
Attention Data — gaze, dwell, scroll-away, or interaction signals collected from or about your account.
Usage and telemetry — your API call logs, dashboard activity, feature interactions, and support tickets associated with your account.
Linked third-party tokens — any OAuth tokens or API keys you have added to integrate Easycollab.cc with YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Shopify, or other Third-Party Services. We revoke our copy of the token at deletion; you should also revoke access from the third-party’s own dashboard.
2. What We Retain After Deletion
For legal, accounting, security, and fraud-prevention reasons, a narrow subset of data may be retained after your account is deleted. We minimize what we keep and isolate it from production systems.
(a) Billing and tax records
Invoices, receipts, refunds, and transaction logs are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically seven to ten years). These records do not include your raw Inputs, Outputs, or Attention Data.
(b) Security logs
Aggregated, hashed, or pseudonymized security and abuse-prevention logs may be retained for up to twelve (12) months to investigate and prevent ongoing fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access.
(c) Disputes and legal holds
If a claim, dispute, regulatory request, or law-enforcement matter is open or reasonably anticipated, we will preserve relevant data until that matter is resolved, after which the standard deletion process resumes.
(d) Backups
Snapshots of our production systems are retained for disaster-recovery purposes on a rolling basis and overwritten on a schedule (typically thirty to ninety days). Restoration from backup is only performed in genuine disaster scenarios; we will not selectively restore deleted user data.
(e) Anonymized or aggregated derivatives
Statistics, benchmarks, and model-improvement signals that have been irreversibly aggregated or anonymized so that they no longer identify you may be retained indefinitely. These derivatives are stripped of any direct identifier and cannot be reverse-mapped to your account.
Where deletion is technically infeasible — for example, data already amortized into model weights — we will mark the underlying records as no-longer-usable and prevent further processing tied to your identity.
3. How to Submit a Deletion Request
You can submit a deletion request in any of the following ways:
In-app (fastest): Sign in to app.easycollab.cc → Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete my account. You will be asked to confirm with your password and a code sent to your registered email.
Email: Send a request from your registered email address to privacy@easycollab.cc with the subject line “Data deletion request.” Include your account email and a brief statement of what you want deleted (the full account, a specific project, or a specific dataset).
Authorized agent: Residents of certain U.S. states and other jurisdictions may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on their behalf. We may require written documentation confirming the agent’s authority and proof of your identity.
If you have lost access to your registered email address, contact privacy@easycollab.cc from a backup email tied to your account. We will work with you to verify your identity through alternative means.
4. Identity Verification
Before processing a deletion request we will take reasonable steps to confirm that the request is genuinely from you (or your authorized agent). Verification may include confirming an email code, requesting recent billing details, or — for higher-risk requests — asking for additional identity documentation. We use verification data only for this purpose and discard it afterwards.
If we are unable to verify the requester’s identity, we will deny the request and explain why. You may submit a new request with additional information.
5. Timeline
Once your identity is verified:
Account closure — within twenty-four (24) hours. Sign-in is disabled and the account becomes inaccessible.
Production data deletion — within thirty (30) days. Inputs, Outputs, Attention Data, profile, and telemetry are removed from production databases and object storage.
Backup expiration — typically within ninety (90) days of production deletion, as backup snapshots are rotated out under our standard retention schedule.
Confirmation — when deletion is complete, you will receive a confirmation email at your registered address summarizing what was deleted and what (if anything) is retained under Section 2.
If our response is delayed by complexity or a high volume of requests, we will notify you and extend the timeline as permitted by applicable law (typically by an additional sixty days under GDPR).
6. Scope: Partial vs Full Deletion
You may request deletion of:
Your full account — including all Inputs, Outputs, and Attention Data.
A specific project, workspace, or dataset — without closing your account.
A specific category of data — for example, all gaze data, while retaining the Outputs derived from it. We will explain any practical or legal limits before proceeding.
Training opt-out only — if you do not want your data deleted but do not want it used to train or improve our Models, switch off the relevant toggle in Settings → Privacy & Data → Use my data to improve Easycollab. The opt-out applies prospectively.
7. Effect of Deletion
Once deletion is processed it is irreversible. We cannot restore your Inputs, Outputs, or settings.
Any active paid subscriptions are cancelled at the end of the current billing period. Unused credits and prepaid balances are forfeited at account closure, except where applicable law requires a refund.
Any shared links, published exports, or third-party copies of your Outputs that exist outside Easycollab.cc will not be deleted by us — you should retract those separately.
Where your Content has been used in a collaborative workspace, copies attributed to other collaborators remain available to them unless they also delete the data on their side.
If you have integrated Easycollab.cc with a Third-Party Service (e.g., your YouTube channel), we revoke our token; we recommend you also revoke our app from that service’s connections page.
8. Free, No-Penalty, Non-Discrimination
Submitting a deletion request is free of charge. We will not deny, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service in retaliation for exercising your deletion rights. You may also designate an authorized agent without penalty.
9. Children’s Data
Our Services are intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child under 18 has provided Personal Data to Easycollab.cc, contact privacy@easycollab.cc and we will delete that data on an expedited basis.
10. Biometric and Sensitive Data
Where you have submitted data that constitutes biometric data under applicable law — for example, gaze or eye-tracking signals in jurisdictions that classify these as biometric — that data is included in the deletion described in Section 1 and is treated under the additional protections set out in Section 12 of our Privacy Policy.
11. Third-Party Processors
Easycollab.cc relies on a small number of vetted sub-processors (cloud hosting, error monitoring, payment processing, transactional email). When you submit a deletion request, we propagate the deletion to those sub-processors under our data processing agreements with them, on the same timelines described in Section 5.
12. Appeals and Complaints
If we deny your deletion request, in whole or in part, you may appeal by replying to our denial email or writing to privacy@easycollab.cc with the subject line “Appeal — deletion request.” We will respond within sixty (60) days, or as required by applicable law.
You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence. In the EEA/UK/Switzerland that is your national data protection authority; California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency; Indian residents may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
